Bravo! Vail Music Festival Announces Its Thirtieth Season June 22–August 4, 2017

The Bravo! Vail Music Festival announces its milestone 30th season, which runs from June 22 to August 4, 2017. The season features the return of its longtime resident ensembles the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, The Philadelphia Orchestra, and the New York Philharmonic as well as the second-annual residency of the London-based chamber orchestra the Academy of St Martin in the Fields, led by violinist and Music Director Joshua Bell. The 30th season celebration includes a record number of world premieres signifying the launch of a New Works Project, expanded educational offerings, and the largest-ever number of string quartets performing in its various chamber music programs.  ( more)


Laurus Corporation Announces New Name and Rebranding of Vail Cascade Resort and Spa

Laurus Corporation, a private real estate investment and development firm, announced today the former Vail Cascade Resort and Spa will reopen early 2017 as Hotel Talisa, Vail. Derived from the Native American name translating to “beautiful water,” Talisa pays homage to the Rocky Mountain’s first residents – the Southern Ute Indians – while also playing to the resort’s location along Vail’s majestic Gore Creek. The 285-room hotel will remain under the management of Two Roads Hospitality, the largest owner and operator of independent hotels, resorts and residences in the United States. As part of the exciting conversion project, following the reopening, Hotel Talisa is expected to join the Luxury Collection’s resort portfolio within Starwood Hotels and Resorts, one of the world’s most exclusive luxury hospitality brands by mid-2017.
