VAIL, Colo. – June 14 – Seasoned athletes and avid bikers will be happy to hear the Carmichael Training Systems (CTS) High Altitude Performance Camp returns to Vail – and the Vail Mountain Lodge & Spa – June 21 – 25, 2011.

In its second year at Vail Mountain Lodge & Spa, the camp’s focus is cycling and riders of all levels are encouraged to participate. Rides include a mix of breathtaking climbs, descents and flat mountain roads. Participants will come away from the experience with tangible results and lifelong lessons including: more self-assurance in group rides thanks to tips for body positioning, bumping, leaning and pacing; improved power and pace at lactate threshold, allowing for longer, harder rides; increased confidence on the bike; key training tools to take home and a roadmap for additional improvement.

Participants are treated like professional cyclists, with post ride massages, individual power file analyses with the coaches and access to the Vail Athletic Club (VAC) and The Vitality Center – a complete wellness facility at Vail Mountain Lodge & Spa – for additional training needs, such as medical acupuncture, chiropractic, rejuvenating treatments, fitness, and energy balancing.

The CTS High Altitude Performance Camp in Vail also includes: complete on-ride support from CTS coaches; an ‘endless’ supply of GU Energy products; access to certified professional mechanics; training presentations from CTS coaches; use of PowerTap Wireless Wheel System; CTS cycling jersey; two post-ride massages at The Spa at Vail Mountain Lodge; five nights’ accommodations at Vail Mountain Lodge & Spa; four breakfasts, four lunches and two dinners.

Participants arriving early or staying late also can take advantage of a 3D dynamic bike fit with one of the Carmichael experts.

Cost for the camp is $2999.00; Vail locals get a discounted rate of $2,299 (must provide proof of local residency), and current CTS members receive a 5 percent discount on registration fees. For information visit http://www.trainright.com <http://www.trainright.com/>  or call 866-355-0645.
