VAIL, Colo. -- There’s no question that the official start of summer coincides with the Vail Farmer’s Market and Art Show. As the mountainous stacks of rainbow-colored fruits and vegetables, mouthwatering wafts of barbecue and crepes and hypnotizing displays of vibrant landscape photography, metal sculptures and creative jewelry heighten your senses, the experience would not be complete without its live soundtrack.
Vail Jazz @ the Market returns this Sunday, June 30, with a vibrant performance by guitarist Wayne Wilkinson and his trio. The series brings in a rotating lineup of regional artists every Sunday, filling the fresh air with strains of everything from straight ahead jazz, blues, Latin rhythms, soulful vocals and just about every conceivable sound branch of the broad-canopied jazz tree.
The free performances take place from 12 to 3 p.m. in the open-sided Jazz Tent at Solaris. All ages are welcome to sit in to listen, dance and stay for as long as they like.
