Vail Mountain is officially open for summer. Gondola One in Vail Village, the Eagle Bahn Gondola in Lionshead Village and Epic Discovery at the top of Vail Mountain are now open for daily operations.

“It’s a beautiful day to ring in the official start of summer on Vail Mountain,” said Doug Lovell, chief operating officer at Vail Mountain. “Today marks the second summer of Epic Discovery on Vail Mountain. Debuting this summer, children 12 and younger can ride up the gondola for free with a paying adult. Vail Mountain is truly a year-round destination for the whole family.”

Beginning today, Vail will offer limited on-mountain activities that will include, the Game Creek Zipline Tour, Holy Cross Adventure Course, Forest Flyer Mountain Coaster, Little Eagle Zipline, Pine Cone Adventure Course, bungee trampoline and the new Paramount Peak Climbing Wall. The Gore Creek Mini Golf located at the base of Eagle Bahn Gondola in Lionshead will also open on Friday.

Additional on-mountain activities will open as soon as conditions permit.
