Tickets are still available for the Labor Day Weekend Jazz Party
Following two overwhelmingly successful events earlier this summer, the third and final Jazz After performance on July 24 – The New York Jam featuring special guest Bramwell Tovey –  is sold out.

Jazz After is a joint production of the Vail Jazz Festival and Bravo! Vail. It involves select members of the evening’s Bravo! orchestra teaming up with internationally acclaimed guest musicians for an intimate, highly unique jam session at Larkspur Restaurant following the Bravo! Vail performance at Ford Amphitheater.

The three-part series kicked off with members of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra plus special guests Byron Stripling, Jeff Clayton and Ken Walker and the second performance featured members of the Philadelphia Orchestra joining forces with Cuban jazz stars Wil Campa y Su Gran Union. There are no more tickets remaining for the July 24 event featuring members of the New York Philharmonic and internationally heralded composer Bramwell Tovey. Also, guitar duo Frank Vignola and Vinny Raniolo – featured artists performing at Jazz @ Vail Square on Thursday, July 25 – will sit in on the jam session. Tickets are still available for preferred seats at the Thursday show.

“We couldn’t be more pleased with the success of the Jazz After events,” says Robin Litt, director of Vail Jazz Foundation, which produces the Vail Jazz Festival. “With the incredible energy of the last two performances and obvious joy from the audiences, it’s not surprising that this final session sold out so early. We never like to turn people away … it’s too bad we don’t have more seats available. But at least there are still tickets available for the Labor Day Jazz Party.”

The 19th Annual Vail Jazz Festival comes to its brimming climax on Labor Day Weekend as a large collection of the world’s most renowned stars play five days of live jazz music, performances comprised of large scale multi-media shows to intimate soloist, ensemble sets and impromptu jam sessions with a palpability similar to that of the Jazz After events.
