Mini "Survivor" Style Activities Offered Alongside TV Show Tryouts
Kids of all ages from one through age 101-will have a fun chance to complete their summer checklist by participating in the Vail Family Adventure Challenge, designed to occur alongside the official try-outs for the hit TV show, "Survivor," coming to  Vail on Saturday, August 17 from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Although the actual registration for the TV try-outs is full, this is a rare and extremely entertaining way to watch the entrants get ready for their big moment in the audition.  There is also the huge plus for everyone to come out and enjoy all of the Family Adventure Challenge activities, specially created to reflect the excitement of the try-out atmosphere, and give families a memory they won't soon forget.

Vail Family Adventure Challenge highlights will be the Water Balloon Toss of Death, Escape from Babagoza, Hula-Hoopalooza and the Great American Apple Stack contest.  The entire free day of activities and entertainment is the best way for families to come celebrate the joy of summer vacation.  There are even more things to do listed on www.vail.com, and information on coming along with the wacky and fun gang leading the
Family Adventure Challenge can be found at www.vailkidsadventureclub.com.

The competitive spirit comes to life in Vail this weekend as producers from CBS4, home of the popular CBS reality show Survivor, come for the only Survivor casting call in Colorado this year. Three hundred competitors, including several local residents, will be getting a chance to show producers why they should be chosen. The prospective reality TV stars will gather from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday at Solaris Plaza where they'll be recording a one-minute video audition.
