The summer season kicks off with the youth mountain bike race series registration party at Larkburger in Edwards. The race series is open to youth ages 8-14 and recently added category for ages 15-16 and begins May 23, with a race in Eagle.

The Vail Rec District offers a Trail running series every summer and the first race kicks off on May 19 with the Boneyard Boogie 10k. This seven-race series is in its 15th year and starts in May and ends in September. Runners have a summer long opportunity to race on some of Vail's great trails with this trail running series.

The KEEN Vail Kids Adventure Race returns to the Rockies this summer with its one-of-a-kind course, activities and fun just for kids.

Registration for the Vail Recreation District's (VRD) Community Programming summer programming will officially begin on Monday, April 2.
