Come to give back and stay for the specials. Thursday, October 6th is donation day with 10% of all restaurant revenue going to the Vail Valley Foundation
As the leaves continue to turn and the Valley fills with hungry visitors on the hunt for their perfect $20.16 special, we find ourselves in the second week of Restaurant Week. Guests wining and dining throughout the first weekend of this years’ event have raved about the specials thus far and plan to try many more in the days ahead.  This Thursday, October 6th, not only can you enjoy incredible dining offers with peak autumn colors as your backdrop, but you can feel good about doing so; Donation Day is back! This Thursday 10% of all proceeds from participating Vail Beaver Creek Restaurant Week restaurants will be donated to the Vail Valley Foundation.
It’s only natural that an event born from such community cooperation and support intends to give a little something back.  Therefore, on October 6th, 10% of all participating restaurant sales will be donated to the selected nonprofit beneficiary, the Vail Valley Foundation. The Vail Valley Foundation was selected as the nonprofit beneficiary by the restaurant group for their dedication to enhance and sustain the spirit of the Vail Valley by providing leadership in athletic, cultural and educational endeavors. Enjoy the specials and give back at the same time.
Not only are restaurants reporting that many of their loyal fan base have come in for the event but they’ve also been seeing many new faces from the community and beyond.  Take advantage of all the lodging participants as well and make a staycation out of it! There are 16 lodges participating between the two villages, plenty of opportunities to get away for the weekend.  The 2016 specials carefully crafted for guests are specially designed to keep locals and visitors happy and engaged with the restaurants and lodges throughout the Vail Valley during a time that can tend to be slower.
From remarkable $20.16 specials to the autumn colors, we truly couldn’t have asked for a more perfect time of the year to host the fourth annual event.  The picturesque fall colors are booming in the Vail Valley and remind us once again what a beautiful state we live in while also showing visitors what a perfect time of year autumn is to visit the area.
