The Inaugural Event Kicks Off This Week September 27th – October 6th
As if guests need another reason to dine in Vail and Beaver Creek, this fall they can enjoy the autumn scenery while indulging in breakfast, lunch, happy hour and dinner specials all set at $20.13.  Beginning this Friday September 27th through October 6th participating restaurants will offer an array of specials, each priced at $20.13 and all showcasing the diverse culinary offerings available throughout the Vail and Beaver Creek Villages.

The full directory of $20.13 specials was recently published on diningataltitude.com and lists over 80 unique offerings ranging from 3-course specialty menu’s to a full BBQ family meal… and the list goes on!  Sarah Franke, Communications Manager of Group970 Restaurants and a Vail Beaver Creek Restaurant Week organizer was thrilled to see the wide variety of specials offered, Franke said “the sheer number of $20.13 specials, not to mention the associated value of each is outstanding and has far surpassed our original expectations for the first year.”

Not only are the local organizers (who also happen to be local restaurateurs) excited, the restaurant and lodging community are also looking forward to the first ever event.  Rafal Konka, Managing Director of Larkspur Restaurant in Vail expressed his confidence in the success of the event, “the ‘no rules’ format for the Vail Beaver Creek Restaurant Week is what makes it so appealing, to restaurateurs and guests alike.  Each business has the freedom to create their own unique and creative $20.13 offering, which has encouraged unprecedented restaurant participation. For guests planning extended stays in our valley the opportunity to partake in a myriad of experiences can be inspiring!”

Another added bonus of Vail Beaver Creek Restaurant Week, besides the incredible $20.13 specials, is the assortment of exceptional lodging offers.  Over 13 lodges will be offering special rates for the week in hopes that diners will make a weekend out of it enjoying not only meals but also lodging in both Vail and Beaver Creek villages.  As the autumn leaves start to change and the mountains become alive with color, what better way to spend it than with a delicious, affordable meal and a luxurious room paired with a rocky mountain view?

Beyond the efforts of the local restaurant and lodging community, the realization of this unique culinary event would not be possible without the continued support of a few key local partners.  The Town of Vail, Beaver Creek Resort Company, Vail Resorts, the Vail Valley Foundation and the Vail Valley Partnership have all played a critical role in getting Restaurant Week off the ground.  With such community involvement it only seemed right to include a non-profit beneficiary which for this first year is the Vail Valley Foundation.  On October 3rd dine out and do good!  On October 3rd the Vail Valley Foundation will receive 10% of all participating restaurant sales.

Whether you want fine dining, Mexican, pizza, breakfast, drinks or just a stay-cation at your favorite lodge, Vail Beaver Creek Restaurant Week offers something for everyone.  Dine at your favorite restaurant or try a new one, either way we hope everyone will enjoy at least one $20.13 special this fall!
