Once again offering an incredible variety of $20.14 specials in the midst of peak fall week in the Vail Valley!

The second annual Vail Beaver Creek Restaurant Week kicks off this Friday September 26th and once again spans across ten days and two weekends lasting until October 5th.  Great excitement has building for the much anticipated 2014 event, especially after the list of mouthwatering and decadent $20.14 special list was posted to the website.

When looking at the full $20.14 specials list one will quickly see the wide variety of offerings and will have no difficulty trying to find the perfect fit for their palate or appetite.  In perusing the event’s website, diningataltitude.com, viewers can page through each participating location’s profile, which highlights the details of the restaurant and offerings.  Guests will notice their favorite locations from 2013 are once again participating while there is also an assortment of new restaurants on board and a wide array of new and incredible specials available from all.  For those looking for a quick overview of all that is being offered, the printable $20.14 list can easily be found on the event’s home page as well.

One new participant this year, the notorious Matsuhisa Vail, located in the Solaris building.  Matsuhisa Restaurant Manager, Jordan Harrill, stated “Matsuhisa Vail is excited to be part of this year’s Restaurant Week.  This will be our first time participating and there is already a lot of excitement to see locals and visitors alike.”  Matsuhisa felt their Bento Box offering was a great fit for the events $20.14 list as it’s “a great way to try some of [Matsuhisa’s] most popular dishes in a traditional Japanese way and [to] get a great meal at the same time”.   From Matsuhisa’s Bento Box offering to some of our favorite local staples such as the Ludwig’s breakfast buffet, La Tour’s $20.14 entrée selections or the famous Crimpster at Hooked in Beaver Creek, the offerings this year are spectacular!  The list of restaurants and specials seems to be especially creating a buzz this year.  Vail Valley local and foodie, Lori Wellins is planning on starting out at Terra Bistro this year and referenced Restaurant Week as one of her favorites of the year.  Wellins further stated, “love the opportunity to sample the Valleys "best" at a great value.”  Whatever $20.14 special you opt for this year, there is one thing that’s for sure and that is, it will pair perfectly with Vail and Beaver Creek’s stunning autumn backdrop which truly began flourishing this past weekend.  The current fall scenery of the Rockies Mountains truly sets the stage for an unparalleled culinary event this year.

Beyond the new $20.14 offerings and participants, also new this year is the Top Shelf Harvest event taking place in Lionshead on Saturday, September 27th, from 2-7pm.  A boutique outdoor event featuring tastings of Colorado born spirits, including some local to the Vail Valley, enhanced by Vail restaurant samplings; this event folds perfectly into the Restaurant Week event and provides even more reason for foodies near and far to travel to Vail for a full weekend of flavor.  Clare Hefferen of Callossum Creative, the creative agency for the Harvest event, said, “Vail is absolutely gorgeous in the fall. Between Top Shelf Harvest and Restaurant  Week we have the perfect weekend lineup.”

Once again sincere thanks are due to the Town of Vail, Beaver Creek Resort Company, Vail Resorts and the Vail Valley Foundation for playing a critical role in supporting Restaurant Week both this year and last.  We can’t wait for everyone to get out there and enjoy all that Vail and Beaver Creek villages have to offer.  And don’t forget to fit in that autumn hike – it’ll make some room for more tasting!
