The VRD's youth summer camps feature hands-on learning about the natural environment, adventure-packed days including rafting and caving, arts and crafts, plus golf, gymnastics, ice skating and more. All camps fill on a first-come, first-served basis and early registration is encouraged. Camps provide children with adventure and learning experiences while enjoying the summer in Vail. Sign up for one day or for the whole summer! Discounts are available for multi-day registrations.
 
Register by 11:59 p.m. on Friday, May 26 to save off the regular daily summer rate on these great day camp offerings. But hurry, as many of these camps are filling up fast!

PRE KAMP VAIL
Mon-Fri: June 12-Aug. 18 | Ages: 2.5 to 5
 
Pre Kamp Vail knows how to provide adventure for children with little legs and big spirits. The low camper-to-counselor ratio allows your camper to receive individual attention as they enjoy self-directed play, arts and crafts, songs, games and a daily adventure outing.

CAMP VAIL

Vail's premier day camp invites children to experience the countless activities of Vail's unique alpine setting in an engaging and inclusive environment. Campers tailor their day by choosing from a wide variety of sports, art and science activities or special outings.

MAD SCIENTISTS
Fridays: June 30, July 14, July 28 | Ages: 7 to 12
Explore science to a depth rarely achieved with elementary-age children. Young scientists will gain a better understanding of how the world works through experimentation, building and revising. Children come home with fun toys that teach science.
 
Times: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

CAMP ECO FUN
June 12-Aug. 10 | Ages: 4 to 11
Camp Eco Fun offers children hands-on learning about the natural environment at the Vail Nature Center, plus crafts and activities that support the weekly ecological theme. VRD partners with Walking Mountains and the Vail Nature Center to provide kids an opportunity to playfully explore nature.
 
Times: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

CAMPOUTS
July 7-8, 21-22 or Aug. 4-5 | Ages: 7 to 12
Spend the day with fun-filled explorations and games (including exploring by boat at Sweetwater Lake)! Enjoy dinner over a fire, then sleep in a tent and wake to breakfast before returning to Golden Peak for pick up.

Extreme Camp Vail offers children an adventure-packed day outside of Vail! This year's adventures includes go karting, cave tours, ziplining, paddleboarding, and indoor skydiving.

June 28 - Wild Cave Tour (Glenwood Springs): Ages 10 to 13. Departs camp at 8 a.m.
Dress for cold, wet and dirt with sturdy shoes.
 
July 5 - Zipline Tour (Leadville): Departs camp at 8 a.m. Must weigh 50+ lbs.

About the Vail Recreation District
The Vail Recreation District's mission is to offer diverse and exceptional recreation opportunities that enhance the physical, social and emotional well-being of all its residents and guests.
