VAIL, Colo. – Winter 2012/2013 – As Solaris enters its second ski season as Vail’s newest luxury lodging option and town center, exciting new 2012-2013 offerings are being announced, including a “Buy Winter, Get Summer” deal; a one-of-a-kind ski package created especially for its discerning clientele; and 18 additional residences added to its rental pool.

Stay Winter, Get Summer Offering
New this winter, Solaris is offering guests an unprecedented value, with its “Stay Winter, Get Summer” deal. When guests stay in a two bedroom with den Solaris residence during Vail's 2012-2013 ski season (November 16, 2012-April 14, 2013), they will enjoy a complimentary summer stay for the same number of nights in an equivalent residence during summer 2013 (based on availability; some restrictions apply).

Custom Ski Package
At the heart of the Solaris experience, is its commitment to providing guests the ultimate in customized vacations. One such way this is accomplished is through its Personal Assistants program. More than just a concierge, Solaris Personal Assistants not only proactively contact guests prior to arrival to take care of simple tasks such as pre-arrival grocery shopping or dinner reservations, but also to determine what would make their stays truly special and memorable, exceeding all guest service expectations. Past guest requests have included bringing live reindeer to town at Christmas, and arranging for a child to ice skate with a “princess.”

Additionally, Solaris is dedicated to creating one-of-a-kind experiences for guests; as such, Solaris has introduced its Custom Ski Package through an exclusive partnership with one of North America's first and only fully-custom ski companies, Folsom Custom Skis. When guests book the Custom Ski Vacation Package, in addition to luxury accommodations and bespoke service, they also receive 100 percent custom skis of their own – waiting for them upon arrival and hand-built to their liking, with personalized flex pattern, stiffness, camber profile, shape, length and graphics. Folsom has also designed a limited number of graphics, available exclusively to Solaris guests, which can be selected, in lieu of a custom guest-provided graphic. All Folsom skis are made in the U.S., deliver individual performance, outlast mass produced skis, are built specifically for each skier and are crafted using environmentally-sustainable methods and materials.

This package starts at $3,700, and varies by number of nights and number/types of skis desired. It is available November 15, 2012 to April 15, 2013, and requires one month advance booking in order to deliver skis upon-arrival.

During the summer, Solaris offers guests a similar program in partnership with Steamboat Springs, Colo.-based Moots Cycles, which includes a fully-custom Moots bicycle of guests’ choosing, as well as a Moots apparel package. No matter the season, or the package, Solaris’ Personal Assistants go above and beyond to ensure each guest’s vacation is a unique and memorable experience.

New Residences Added to Rental Pool
In response to the strong demand seen during the 2011-2012 ski season, Solaris recently announced the addition of 18 luxuriously-appointed residences to its short-term rental pool, more than doubling its inventory available last season.

“The success of our inaugural season speaks volumes to the quality and service offered at Solaris,” said Bill Marshall, general manager of Solaris. “Since opening, guests from all over the world have responded to Solaris’ meticulously-appointed lodging and the unprecedented level of service offered through our Personal Assistants.  I’m pleased to increase the number of residences available for nightly rental to our valued guests.”
