Summer in the high country has arrived and as hiking enthusiasts lace up their boots and hit the trails, Vail’s Take a Hike package offers up to 20 percent savings on lodging throughout the season, marking the perfect time to book a mountain vacation. Hikers also receive the Vail Hiker Guide book with the package, providing statistics and maps for 50 trails in the area. Rates Begin at $112 for this Special Offer
 
With more than 200 miles of trails, Vail offers a plethora of hiking experiences to choose from. The Vail Hiker Guide Book will help vacationers find a trail that’s right for them. Beginner hikers can take a scenic 3-8 mile stroll along the Game Creek Trail out of Minturn, where they’ll likely see roaming wildlife, or trek 6 miles to a tranquil waterfall at Upper Piney Lake. For an intermediate hiking experience, Lower Cross Creek offers flatter spots to camp and picnic as well as spectacular views of Mount of the Holy Cross. Advanced hikers can venture past Lower Cross Creek to the Half Moon Pass for a wonderful view of the peak.
 
A variety of lodging properties participating in the Take a Hike offer include Simba Run, Lifthouse condominiums and Westwind. Rates for the Take a Hike package start at $112 for a two-bedroom condominium at Simba Run. The offer is valid for bookings prior to October 31, 2015.
