Cars, Planes, Motorcycles, and Spectacular Aerobatics Show – September 6-8, 2013.
Gearheads rejoice as the most comprehensive auto, aircraft and motorcycle show in Western Coloradois back for it’s fourth year. The Vail Automotive Classicwill once again be hosting a weekend filled with automobile and aircraft events here in the Vail Valley, September 6-8, 2013. 

The weekend kicks off with theVail Automotive Classic Car Auction, on Friday, September 6, 2013 at the Vail Valley Jet Center. Proceeds from the car auction will benefit Jack’s Placeat Shaw Regional Cancer Centerand Eagle Valley Senior Life.  A 1985, non-reserve, Jaguar XJ6 Vanden Plas brings star power to the event and was donated specifically to benefit Jack’s Place. The “Jag” has been donated as a non-reserve car, which means it will sell an ANY price.

Approximately 15 other cars, at both reserve and non-reserve prices, have been hand selected from various car collectors and automobile enthusiast around the country for Vail Automotive Classic’s car auction. The auction is open to the public and begins with the car preview and silent auction at 4:00 p.m. and the auction bidding starting at 6:30 p.m. Admission is free and includes cash bar, food for purchase, and live music from Valley’s own Turntable Revue.

The Friday night event is just the first of several Car, Aircraft, and Motorcycle celebrations throughout the weekend! The Vail Automotive Classic is also hosting their Fourth Annual, Wheels & Wings Showon Saturday, September 7, 2013 at the Vail Valley Jet Center, 10:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.. The Wheels & Wings Show is an open expo of cars, airplanes, helicopters and motorcycles and brings in crowds of over 2,500 people. Air Show, food vendors, beer tent, and children’s activity hangar are also part of the event. Admission to Saturday’s event is $15 for Adults, $5 for Children (ages 5 & under are free.) Tickets available only at the gate.
New this year is a spectacular Aerobatics Show that’s sure to amaze and entertain. Buck Roetman of Wild Horse Aviation and Gary Rower of Rower Airshows will bring their Pitts/Stearman
formation act to the Wheels & Wings Show in 2013.  Plus, you may sit in style in the "First Class Club"
viewing area as you watch Buck and Gary bring these two amazing aircraft together in a formation routine that will thrill audiences and amaze their fellow pilots.
“We wanted to take things up a notch with the First Class Club this year…”explains Jamie Roosa, Director of Marketing at the Vail Valley Jet Center. “The First Class Club will offer guests all day access to complimentary food, drinks, and shaded seating for the Aerobatics Show.”

The weekend concludes with the Vail Automotive Classic Select Car Showon Sunday, September 8, 2013 in Vail Village, 9:00 a.m. -3:00 p.m.  Spectators may peruse the award winners of the Wheels & Wings Show in the magnificent setting of Vail Village. Sunday’s show showcases vintage, classics, and custom cars and includes a People’s Choice Award Ceremony at 1:30 p.m.
