Thanks to our supporting restaurants, lodges and community partners that made the event
such a success last year and possible to do again this year!
Vail Beaver Creek Restaurant Week is back for a second year; returning to the Vail Valley this fall, Friday, September 26th – Sunday, October 5th!  After receiving tremendous feedback from participants and guests alike for the event’s inaugural year, deciding to continue the event for a second year was a no brainer.  Excitement is already building for the much anticipated 2014 event.  Diverse culinary offerings from restaurants throughout the Vail and Beaver Creek Villages, each set at a price point of $20.14, will pair with the stunning autumn backdrop provided by the Vail Valley to once again set the stage for an unparalleled culinary event.
With restaurant week events popping up in cities all across the nation, what makes Vail Beaver Creek Restaurant Week stand above the rest?  Well it’s not just the altitude.  For a second year, this high country culinary celebration will span across two world class mountain resorts, Vail and Beaver Creek, highlighting the incredible talent and phenomenal culinary offerings available at each resort location.  Featuring $20.14 specials at over 40 restaurants, in addition to a variety of lodging specials, the event’s second year will provide no shortage of variety or value; appealing to area visitors and locals alike.  Last year’s list of specials, which ranged from a lobster dinner to multiple course signature meals, have local and destination restaurant guests anxiously awaiting the release of specials for the 2014 event.  Suzy Melson, General Manager of the Beaver Creek Chophouse, commented on the early start of inquiries exclaiming, “We have already had people asking what our specials are for this year!”
Though the two mountain villages have previously combined efforts on a handful of Valley-wide events, Vail Beaver Creek Restaurant Week represents a new and truly special collaboration effort between the two communities.  To begin, the idea spawned from the Valley local restaurants, which remain the driving force behind the event’s development and success.  Without their willingness to try something new and to think outside the box with their offers, the ten day event would not be nearly as appealing or unique.  However, beyond the efforts of the local restaurant community, the realization of this spectacular culinary event would not be possible without the continued support of a few key local partners.  The Town of Vail, Beaver Creek Resort Company, Vail Resorts, the Vail Valley Foundation and the Vail Valley Partnership have all played a critical role in supporting Restaurant Week both this year and last.  What has resulted is a truly unmatched culinary event, produced and supported by the entire Vail and Beaver Creek combined community.   When reflecting on the event, Brian Nolan, one of the event organizers, said “we truly appreciated the support of our community partners and their willingness to come together to put on this great event last year and are very thrilled to see it all come together once again for this second year.”
Along with everyone else, we look forward to seeing what this year’s Vail Beaver Creek Restaurant Week has to offer. The community support has once again been astounding and the restaurant and lodging specials beginning to go live at diningataltitude.com have already set a the bar high for the upcoming 2014 event.  All signs point to another incredible Vail Beaver Creek Restaurant Week ahead!
