(Vail)--The Vail Golf Club hosts the inaugural Birdies and Spares Biathlon on Wednesday, Oct. 3 featuring an 18 hole scramble followed by two games of bowling at Bol in Vail. The four-person scramble will begin at 11:30 a.m. featuring lunch at Happy Valley Grill following golf and then bowling at 5:30 p.m. Cost per player is $85 and includes golf, cart, range balls, bowling, shoe rental, lunch and prizes. Space is limited as the biathlon is filling up quickly.
According to Vail Golf Club Head Professional Chris Johnson, the biathlon will be a great way to wind down the golf season. "Bowling and golf are both equally fun to play and watch, which makes for an exciting event," said Johnson. "It's a great way to spend a day during the fall enjoying a round in the day, followed by an evening of bowling. It will be a relaxing format in pairs of two and the perfect way to start winding down the golf season."
Additionally, the Vail Golf Club is offering its fall foliage rates with 18 holes available for $69 or 9 holes available for $47, including cart. Beginning Oct. 7, golfers will enjoy 18 holes for $50 or 9 holes for $35, including cart. The Vail Golf Club is scheduled to close Oct. 31 for the season, weather permitting.
