Overnight and Full-Day Camps, First Tee Junior Golf Junior Development Clinics Offered Throughout the Summer

(Vail)-The Vail Golf Club will elevate its junior golf programs this summer as it works to grow the sport of golf with Vail's local and visiting youth. New this summer, the Vail Golf Club will partner with the PGA Tour Academy to offer unique overnight and day camps in June and August that will be complete with lodging, instruction, activities and more. Additionally, the Vail Golf Club is once again partnering with the Youth Foundation's First Tee of Eagle County Junior Golf Camps and will offer junior golf development clinics in June, July and August. All camps will provide youth golfers, ages six to 18 with a fun atmosphere of learning and development. Details are as follows:
 
PGA Tour Academy Junior Camps
These new golf-intensive programs will take place June 24-28 and Aug. 13-17. The June overnight camps, for ages 12 to 18, will be complete with seminars, guest speakers, video analysis and on-course instruction, as well as the mental aspect of the game, as well as proper practice routines, tournament preparation and the opportunities for college golf will occur. Overnight camp students will begin early with range instruction and warm up. After lunch, each camper will play 18 holes alongside The TOUR Academy instructors will provide course instruction to improve each golfer's game. During the overnight camp, evening activities will include dinner, free time and evening practice. Costs are $1,195 for the June overnight camp, which includes lodging at Manor Vail Lodge and $995 for commuter campers.
 
The August full-day camps, for ages six to 16, will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and include stations in the morning to work on skills such as putting, chipping, bunker play and full swing, followed by lunch and nine holes of play. The Youth Foundations' First Tee of Eagle County Junior Golf Camps  

Youth golfers of all levels can join the Vail Golf Club staff for this unique junior golf program that teaches children life lessons through the game of golf. For the past six years, the Vail Golf Club has partnered with the Youth Foundation via its junior camps, which instills crucial life skills including honesty, responsibility, integrity, honesty, judgment, respect, courtesy, confidence, sportsmanship and perseverance, all through the game of golf.A two-day camp will take place from 10 a.m. to noon June 19-20 for $59 per child. Three-day camps will take place from 10 a.m. to noon July 10-12, July 24-26 and July 31 to Aug. 2 for $85 per child per session. Teen camps will take place on from 4 to 5 p.m. Fridays beginning June 29 and cost $100 for five sessions or $25 day-of. Call 970-479-2260 for details.
 
According to Vail Golf Club Director Alice Plain, Vail's junior golf programs will cover a wide range of ages and ability levels. "We'll have beginner, intermediate and player level classes and camps available to local and visiting youth throughout the summer," said Plain. "Our coaches are trained specifically to work with youth and follow guidelines that not only develop skills, but also offer an exciting and fun atmosphere to learn golf."
