Vail, CO (June 28, 2011) – The Vail Valley community is rallying their support of the Symposium’s summer event, Christo Live in Vail arts-in-education lecture. To-date, a total of eight local organizations and businesses are working with the Symposium to welcome the world renowned environmental artist to town and make this program a truly memorable intergenerational community event. The lecture is scheduled for Tuesday, July 19, at 5 pm at The Lodge at Vail. Thanks to the generosity of our many sponsors, tickets are only $10. Christo is donating this lecture presentation as a gift to the Vail Symposium.
Christo Live in Vail event supporters include The Lodge at Vail, Rock Resorts Mountain Collection, A Secret Garden and the Vail Daily. Other supporters joining in the promotional effort are the Town of Vail Local Marketing District Advisory Council, Vail Valley Partnership, Spin Creative, and the Vail Valley Foundation. The Symposium is grateful for these dedicated sponsors and encourages other town partners to participate.
This arts-in-education lecture by Christo will offer the Valley community much insight into the artist’s past works with his late wife/partner Jeanne-Claude and their unique artistic process including the development of their new Over The River Colorado project that is planned for a 2014 exhibition. Seating for this extraordinary community program is limited and advanced ticket purchase is necessary.
Tickets are available at www.vailsymposium.org. For more details, call the Symposium at 970-476-0954.
