The Vail Recreation District is excited to host several Skyhawks Sports camps this summer, available to kids of varying ages and abilities. Skyhawks has been offering premier sports camps since 1979 and is unique in its superb coaching staff who are screened for strong athletic and role model skills as well as tested and trained on and off the field or court.

Skyhawks Lacrosse Camp | Ages 7-14 | July 5-8, 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
Lacrosse combines some of the basic skills used in soccer, basketball and hockey into one fast-paced, high-scoring game. Athletes will learn all the fundamentals of stick handling, cradling, passing, and shooting in a fun, non-checking environment. Coaches help campers learn not only the sport of lacrosse, but also important life skills such as respect, teamwork and discipline. Designed for ages 7 to 14, this camp ensures that every athlete will come away with a deep understanding of the game and its traditions. Skyhawks Flag Football Camp | Ages 7-14 | July 11-15, 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
Skyhawks Flag Football Camp teaches the core skills of passing, catching and de-flagging, as well as defensive positioning, while delivering fun and exciting action. The camp is organized into training environments that are designed to prepare kids to be champions both on and off the field and concludes with the Skyhawks Bowl, an exhilarating and action-packed game that gives campers a chance to show off their skills. Mini-Hawk Sports Training Camp | Ages 4-7 | July 18-22, 9 a.m.-12 p.m.
Mini-Hawk Sports Training Camp gives younger kids ages 4 to 7 an opportunity to develop skills and basic introductions to the essentials of baseball, basketball and soccer. With a main focus on positive feedback and encouragement, Mini-Hawk drills, games and activities are designed to help campers explore balance, movement and hand-eye coordination at their own pace.
